*The longest laugh that Lucille Ball ever recieved during any I Love Lucy episode was during the episode "Lucy Does The Tango" It lasted 65 seconds and had to be edited for time.
*She loved lilacs. She much infact that she was known to plan trips to New England in May just to see and smell the lilacs in bloom.
*Lucy starred in the broadway play 'Wildcat' where she got her trademark song: Hey! Look Me Over!
*Lucy's first movie was Roman Scandals
*Lucy hated birds because when DeDe told her that her father had died sparrows were feeding in the window and she had always heard that birds in a window were bad luck.
*Lucy and Bob Hope played in 4 movies together
*Lucy and Desi met in the filming of Too Many Girls
*Lucy died on Carol Burnett's birthday. Every year Lucy sent Carol flowers on her B-Day but that year she was in the hospital. When Carol woke up onher B-Day (april 26) she turned on the tv and saw that Lucy had died. Later that day Carol got flowers delivered.....they were from Lucy.
*It was reported that during the half hour that I Love Lucy was on that crime rates lowered and phones were used less. Shops would close on Monday's with signs in their windows that read: Closed Mondays...We Love Lucy Too.
